We, the Catechetical Ministry at St. Mark, as a ministry of the word, seek to echo the Good News of Jesus Christ to children, youth, and adults in the hope of enabling them to "a living, conscious and active faith" for themselves, their families and their community (NCD 32). As an essential moment in the process of evangelization catechesis is at the service of the initial call to conversion and initiation. It seeks to solidify and form others in this initial faith for the Christian life and bring them into the community "which lives, celebrates and bears witness to the faith."
